December 13, 2018 By Julie Lanford MPH, RD, CSO, LDN Leave a Comment

On Dec 1st I hosted another Survivor Cooking Workshop with Chef Don from The Stocked Pot. I love teaching these workshops because mostly I'm not teaching. I get to sit back and learn alongside everyone else. And of course, eat the delicious food that Chef teaches us how to make. It's inspiring!! December 13, 2018 By Julie Lanford MPH, RD, CSO, LDN Leave a Comment

Chef Don from The Stocked Pot taught us how to make this super easy version of Dill Sauce to go with our Salmon Coulibiac. I like that you can make it with dried dill weed because I don't usually have the fresh around. You could use sour cream or even plain greek yogurt in it's place. Enjoy! -  Julie Dill … [Read more...]

Enjoy! -  Julie Holiday Rice Pilaf Recipe Rice Pilaf Recipe from Chef Don McMillan   Print Author: Julie Lanford, MPH, RD, CSO, LDN … [Read more...]

Citrus Vinaigrette Recipe from Chef Don McMillan

This recipe from Chef Don at The Stocked Pot is delicious! Multiple chefs have told me not to waste my money on grocery store salad dressings. It's so EASY, cheap and nutritious to just do your own at home. This is about as simple as it gets. Don't have an orange or lemon? Just use the equivalent amount of OJ and lemon juice. 1 orange = 1/4cup OJ 1 lemon = 2 Tbsp lemon juice The zest adds a lot of great flavor and plant nutrients to boot, but if you don't use it, no … [Read more...]
